The Cacao:
This ceremonial grade cacao comes from Guatemala. It is made with love, heart and compassion over there from a women collective called Ruk'u'x Ulew. It is a word from the native language, Kaqchikel, and translates as ‘Heart of The Earth’. Cecilia, an indigenous Mayan and the founder of the Ruk'u'x Ulew feels this honors her Mayan culture and ancestry.
After the harvest, only the best beans are selected, fermented in banana leaves and roasted over a wood fire. From Cecilia: “I start roasting the cacao beans at 4am in the morning. A lot of information comes to me at this hour. I see how the spirit of the plant is connecting all the people who are working with it, taking their hands, awakening them and connecting them." The result is a delicious cacao with a soft, slightly roasted and traditional taste of pure organic cacao. The processing is carried out gently and with loving manual work.
Cacao produces the highest amount of theobromide and contains a variety of minerals and vitamins. The cacao is rich in magnesium, iron and vitamin C.

Do not let the cacao boil, and it is good for the texture of the cacao to be blended in a mixer.
